March 16, 2010

I love you Zoe, Charlotte, Emma, Abby, Audrey, Ben, Jack and Marc! And my Mark! Eveybody! Yes Ms. Maland and Ms. Lance...I miss you!

The other day we planted sunflower seeds in an egg carton that was empty. Then we put some dirt in it. We also poured water on the dirt.

Also, we fixed the house. We tried to fix the toilet, but it didn't work when we flushed it. Tim came over and helped Mom fix the outside of the house so that the porch will not fall. We have been camping at the yellow house for two nights. It has been fun!

I have been taking pictures of Mom and myself and the tent.
I am trying to think...when you move the camera it doesn't make the picture flat. Oh! Not flat, but focused. I don't know...

I want to watch a movie now.

I want to take pictures with the camera, please.

I dont know some of these words, like f-l-u-s-h-e-d...but Mom is teaching me these words. I know the word, I just don't know how to spell it.

Bye-Bye!
SIGN.

Coopers Many Faces!

OK...so, we have been extremely busy the last couple of days! Me with work and Cooper taking photographs!!! Coop' is asleep right now, so he will write tomorrow! I decided to download his photographs and empty his memory card for his "photo-shoot" tomorrow...! He spent a looooooot of time experimenting with taking pictures of himself! lol! We will pretend that he is working on a "self portrait" series...!? *wink*

They are super great!!! I think I might have a little actor on my hands!!?? Hmmm...I wonder how many times I have been fooled in the past by some of these pout(y) faces?? He looks way to convincing and comfortable while pretending to cry!!! Tricky, tricky...Hmmm...I wonder???

HeeHee!

See for yourself...

MOM’S NOTES: All photographs were taken by Cooper, and all of the (BOLD FACE) print was typed by him. All of the (lower case) print was typed by me, Cooper’s Mom. I am basically asking Cooper what he does each day, and we write about it. He talks to me and I type his words exactly as he speaks them...

Yesterday I took pictures. We shopped at Wal-Mart. We bought milk, juice, sandwich meat, cookies and I don’t know what else. I went to Taekwondo. Class was fun. We said, “AH-YAH…!” Uh…we got some juice. Mom cut out some tiny picture squares and we are going to make them into my daily schedule. We went to Office Depot and they are going to put plastic on them so they wont tear.

Today we have to return the noodles because we got the wrong kind. We are going to Taekwondo and we are going to do home schooling. We are going to practice counting money by playing “Store”…! I don’t know what else we are going to do.

MOM'S NOTES: Cooper is doing great with his little camera! He is learning to hold still while taking a picture! Though, I will have to say, that some of his “wiggles” have made some interesting abstracts!

Lots of things he will be learning from this project...

For starters, this blog has become a fun way to use a calender by documenting his day to day events! Basically, an "on-line diary" encouraging Cooper to focus...in a fun, 'round-a-bout way! Also, in the process, he is familiarizing himself with a keyboard! This is important for today's youngsters!

As he types his very own thoughts and perception of what each day entails, we work on spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure!

We have basically found a "kewl new way" for Cooper to express his thoughts while keeping in-touch with his Teachers and friends! With a handful of photographs and a simple "hello" Cooper is able to practice reasoning, intuition, and perception...all of which strengthen his thought process! Or, shall we say...his cognitive skills! *smile*

Cooper's email address is:

cooperzworld@gmail.com

Drop him a line! He would love to hear from you!!!

XOXO

I have been taking pictures. Uh…I have been going to Taekwondo for 4 days. I got some books from the library. Uh…I took pictures of fish, statues and wall hangings. I also got to play with some kids. We played Lego’s. We built a house and wrote notes. I wrote, “This is Cooper’s house”…Uh, yeah. That is all we did…

MOM’S NOTES: After viewing Coopers photographs, I had decided that some of these would make for a great “show“…! Here is a slide show of a few that I have chosen so far! We will continue to add more to the collection and then choose our favorite 10! I think they are awesome!!! After choosing our favorite 10, We will plan a day to go to CVS and print them. Once printed, we will matte them! Hopefully we will find someone who might be interested in letting him hang his work! Maybe Cooper will “make a sell or two“…??? Fun, fun!! This will be his first “Exhibit” with photography! We will keep you posted!
